Hessle Jive Club
Hessle Jive Club meets on Wednesday evenings at Hessle Town Hall. Doors open 7.30 pm - 10.30 pm. Beginners are very welcome and beginners' classes begin at 7.45 pm. Intermediate classes and freestyle dancing follow afterwards. No special shoes or clothing are required and no partner is needed. Dancers rotate partners and introduce themselves during the classes. It's a excellent way to make new friends, keep fit and have great fun! Members ages range from 18 - 80. We are a friendly sociable bunch too! Entry on door is £7.00. From the 2nd - 7th June I am participating in a trans pennine bike ride. We depart from Southport on the 2nd June and go cross country to Hornsea. We finish in Grimsby approx 220 miles later on the 7th June!! We are looking for sponsorship in aid of the Stroke Association and The Stroke unit at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. Any monies received will be divided equally, unless sponsors specify. In addition to raising money we also want to raise awareness that Stroke is a medical emergency, on a par with a suspected Heart attack. Early treatment can be vital, so it essential to get checked out if you think you could be having a stroke. Any donations gratefully received, Many thanks, Anna
